The Express Holiday Inn Newcastle is located just off the a1 and well positioned for Metro Centre and Newcastle. Our location is such that we are perfect for visiting Newcastle and for an overnight stop on the way to Scotland.
Express by Holiday Inn Newcastle - Metro Centre is ideally located a short drive from Metro Centre, one of Europe's largest Shopping Centres with over 350 shops and restaurants, multi-screen cinema, food court, themed shopping areas, bowling alley and indoor theme park. The hotel has easy access to the A1 Western by-pass and is within driving distance of Team Valley, Washington, New Town, Sunderland, Newcastle, Gateshead, Blaydon, Cramlington, Killingworth, Rowland's Gill, Consett and Durham. In addition, the hotel makes an ideal base for a short break for exploring Hadrian's Wall, Holy Island, Durham Cathedral, Beamish Open Air Museum and the unspoilt Northumberland coastline. The hotel is located 1/2 mile from the a1, next to a tgi Fridays American Restaurant & Bar, kfc Drive-Thru and Frankie and Benny's New York Italian Restaurant.
